Speaker Prep & Setup

When the speaker arrives before his presentation, the person designated to be the primary assistant to the speaker will ensure that the speaker is prepared and will answer any question he or she may have. If the speaker intends to use slides during the presentation, they should ensure that the projector is set up with the slide program in the RMA computer and the projector is ready and tested. The speaker should be instructed on how to forward the slides or work out the means by which this will occur during the presentation. The primary assistant will ensure that the microphone system is properly placed on the speaker and that the sound system has been checked.

The Program Committee Presenter for the week should welcome the speaker to RMA and take him aside to a private room to answer any questions and be the primary liaison with the other team members.
