RMA January food or money drive to benefit the New Covenant Center Michael Ambrosino announced this great effort to support the New Covenant Center. Food, checks or cash can be given to him at the next two meetings on January 14 or 21. If the food items are too cumbersome to carry-in, tap Michael and make arrangements to transfer the food car-to-car during the break or after the meeting. For more information on check and cash see below. Most needed food items: the theme this year is for “Quantity” - try to buy on sale items Soup - 8 to 16oz cans Pasta - one pound boxes and or bags of any variety ( spaghetti, penne, rotelle, rigatoni, etc. Chicken broth - 8- 12 oz cans Rice - white and or brown in bags and or boxes (one to two pound packages or boxes) Cases of bottled water (12 to 16 ounces) Macaroni and Cheese - 7 to 16 ounce boxes/bags Peanut Butter - 10 to 16 ounce jars Jelly - 10 to 16 ounce jars/bottles - grape, strawberry and raspberry Sugar and Flour - 1 to 5 pound bags Instant Mash Potatoes - 5 to 12 ounce packages/boxes Cereal - boxes of various varieties - sugar free Beans - dry bags or cans 6 to 16 ozs, black, kidney, pinto, etc Mustard, Ketchup and Mayonnaise - 8 to 16 ounces of bottles/jars Canned vegetables - 8 to 16 oz cans, corn, peas, green beans, mixed veggies Coffee - 1 lb cans/bags Tea - box of tea bags Salad dressing - 10 to 16 ounces Cake mix - 1 pound packages, any variety PLEASE, no items that are perishable or need refrigeration. If more convenient, checks can be mailed to Michael’s home address at 1 Knollwood Dr. E, Greenwich, CT 06830. Cash and checks (made payable to Michael Ambrosino) will be used to buy food items on sale at ShopRite or Costco; checks made payable to the New Covenant Center should be marked “to benefit the NCC pantry” and will be promptly given to the NCC. * Cash, checks and food items will be accepted after Jan 22nd to comply with your schedule, if necessary.
