“How Will AI Impact Jobs and the Economy?”
Dr. Lawrence will begin with a basic introduction to AI (artificial intelligence), generative AI, and ChatGPT. He will then focus on the potential impact of AI on the US economy and jobs, with some discussion of the implications for the US educational system. The presentation will consist of examples of relevant historical data, discussion of related policy initiatives, and demos showing how ChatGPT can provide insight on these complex topics. He concludes with a discussion of whether the US can retain its competitive advantage in AI over China.
